Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join our East London team. You will specify, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical industrial processes.

You will interpret P&IDs, datasheets, and control loop diagrams, work with process engineers and maintenance staff, and ensure safety and quality compliance across projects. This is a full‑time position in East London with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of instrumentation engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, instrument datasheets, and control loop diagrams.
• Familiar with sensors, transmitters, and control valves; calibration techniques and standards.

Responsibilities

• Specify, select, and procure instrumentation equipment, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of instrumentation devices and systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement loop diagrams, P&IDs, and calibration procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation, ensuring minimal process disruption.
• Collaborate with process engineers and maintenance teams to optimize instrumentation performance and reliability.
• Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
