Formación

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Hygiene Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in conducting workplace hazard assessments and exposure monitoring.
• Knowledge of relevant OHS regulations and standards.
• Experience with air sampling equipment and noise monitoring instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills.
• Must be able to conduct site visits and work in an industrial environment in Gauteng.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular workplace monitoring for chemical exposures, noise levels, and ergonomic stressors in the Benoni facility.
• Perform air sampling and analysis to assess worker exposure to airborne contaminants.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing control measures, such as ventilation systems and PPE.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses related to occupational health and safety hazards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs and policies.
• Provide training to employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate records of monitoring data, hazard assessments, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the safety department and management to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Stay current with advancements in industrial hygiene principles, technologies, and regulations.
• Recommend engineering and administrative controls and PPE to reduce risks.
