Placements24 in Rustenburg is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our client's on-site team. The role focuses on identifying health hazards, conducting inspections, and supporting IH programs to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have an associate's or bachelor's in IH or related field, at least 2 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to conduct site visits with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Industrial Hygiene Technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with monitoring equipment and sampling techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to conduct site visits are required.
• Certification (e.g., CIH, CSP) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct workplace inspections and surveys to identify potential health hazards such as chemical exposures, noise, and ergonomic issues.
• Perform air sampling and monitoring for various contaminants using specialized equipment.
• Collect and analyze environmental samples for laboratory testing.
• Interpret monitoring results and recommend appropriate control measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Assist in the development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs and policies.
• Educate employees on workplace health hazards and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of monitoring activities, assessments, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with safety teams and management to address health and safety concerns.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in industrial hygiene.
