About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their engineering function in Upington . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering, including process design, operational efficiency, capacity planning, and cost reduction initiatives. You will lead a team of industrial engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to drive significant improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in strategic operational planning, leading complex projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the industrial engineering team, setting performance goals and fostering professional development.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and capacity expansion.
• Oversee the design and implementation of new production processes, systems, and technologies.
• Ensure the effective application of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement frameworks.
• Manage large-scale industrial engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align industrial engineering strategies with overall business objectives and to identify new opportunities for operational excellence.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; PMP certification is a significant advantage.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Extensive experience in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and complex project management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans and lead diverse engineering teams.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in cost analysis and capital investment justification.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
