Placements24 seeks an Industrial Engineering Manager for its Mossel Bay operations in the Western Cape. This role leads a team of industrial engineers, overseeing process design, workflow optimization, capacity planning, and cost-reduction initiatives across multiple lines.

The ideal candidate has a master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, 8+ years in IE with at least 3 in management, and strong lean/Six Sigma expertise. Travel within the region may be required.

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to align engineering initiatives.
• Champion safety and environmental compliance; present reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

• Champion safety and environmental compliance throughout all engineering activities.
• Prepare and present reports, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in industrial engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma (Black Belt certification strongly preferred).
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD, and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry is a significant advantage.
• Must have legal authorization to work in South Africa.
