Placements24 is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our essential operations team in Welkom. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on complex electrical systems in a demanding industrial environment.

The role requires reading schematics, P&IDs and electrical layouts, along with a strong safety mindset and the ability to work independently or in a team. A relevant trade qualification is required for this vital position.

Qualifications

• Qualified Industrial Maintenance Electrician with proven experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Ability to read and understand complex electrical diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical power systems, controls, and instrumentation in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and electrical layouts.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
