Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician to ensure safe operation of production machinery and electrical systems. You install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair motors, control panels, PLCs, and lighting while maintaining safety compliance.

You will read schematics and P&ID diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. A valid Trade Test/Wireman’s license and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a valid Trade Test certificate (e.g., Wireman's license, NQF Level 4).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motors, control circuits, and variable speed drives (VSDs).
• Strong understanding of PLCs and HMIs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
