Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp, North West , is seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Maintenance Electrician to ensure the reliable operation of their production lines and equipment. This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components within a busy industrial environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently, thereby minimizing production downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and automation technologies. This is a key position within the maintenance department, contributing directly to the operational success of the plant in North West .

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and components on industrial machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic procedures. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Work with various types of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, codes, and company standards. Collaborate with mechanical maintenance teams and production staff to resolve issues and improve machinery reliability. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs as needed.

Requirements
