Placements24 is seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician to join a maintenance team in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure operational continuity and safety within an industrial plant.

Qualifications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components in an industrial environment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues using appropriate testing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical machinery and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes and regulations.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3 Electrical Engineering).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, control panels, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations (e.g., OHS Act).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and willingness to work in various plant conditions.
• Experience within the manufacturing sector in George is an advantage.
