Job summary

Placements24 in Mossel Bay seeks a hands-on Industrial Electrical Technician to maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems in our manufacturing facility. You will help minimize downtime while upholding safety standards and compliant procedures.

The role requires a trade qualification as Electrician (N3 or equivalent), a Wireman's license, and at least four years' industrial experience, with PLCs, VFDs and MCCs familiarity, plus strong tool use.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Electrician (N3 or equivalent)
• Wireman's license is essential.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in industry/manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, MCCs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, motors and power distribution systems.
• Install new electrical equipment and ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and manuals to guide repair/installation work.
• Assist in calibration and testing of electrical instruments and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
