Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer to support our Paarl operations. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade electrical systems, driving safety, reliability, and performance across the facility.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and motor control, and a commitment to safety standards in a dynamic industrial setting that supports production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years in industrial electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor control.
• Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
• Experience with electrical safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrade of industrial electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in production machinery and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for electrical assets.
• Manage electrical spare parts inventory and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize electrical downtime and improve process efficiency.
