Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to join their established operations in Polokwane. The role focuses on maintaining and improving electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across a demanding industrial plant.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least 6 years of industrial experience, with strong PLC and automation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant industrial electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, motors, drives and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues affecting production machinery and plant operations.
• Manage electrical projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical assets to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance and introduce new technologies.
