Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer to join our client’s facility in Klerksdorp. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical systems and machinery within an industrial manufacturing environment, ensuring operational continuity and plant safety.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 3 years of experience, and hands-on knowledge of PLCs and VFDs to support production goals in the North West

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial electrical engineering role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and other industrial control components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to work shifts or be on standby as required for operational needs in Klerksdorp.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Assist in the design and installation of new electrical systems or modifications to existing ones.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with South African health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
