About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their operational team based in Bloemfontein . This role is crucial for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within their facility. You will be responsible for planned maintenance, prompt troubleshooting, and effective repair of electrical installations to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong technical skills and a proactive approach to maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns, including motors, generators, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Install and commission new electrical equipment and ensure it is correctly integrated into existing systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals to facilitate maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and company policies, conducting safety checks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (e.g., Master Electrician).
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques , and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and understand complex electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems is advantageous.
