Job summary

Chainlink Recruitment seeks a hands-on Branch Supervisor / Sales Representative to oversee daily branch operations in Richards Bay and surrounding industrial areas, driving sales growth while delivering excellent customer service.

The role combines branch management, customer engagement, stock control, product sales and business development with local contractor and industrial clients, emphasising safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Industrial sales experience in relevant fields such as welding supplies, abrasives, equipment rental, construction or related sectors.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to build lasting relationships.
• Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Clear, persuasive communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily branch operations and ensure efficient customer service.
• New business development: identify and develop new opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing industrial and contractor customers.
• Promote and sell welding supplies, industrial consumables, abrasives, safety gear and rental solutions.
• Stock management: monitor stock levels, place orders, coordinate deliveries and branch administration.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on enquiries and achieve sales targets.
• Conduct customer visits and identify opportunities to grow the Richards Bay market.
• Coordinate with suppliers, service teams and regional office for reliable customer support.
• Ensure the branch maintains high safety, housekeeping and operational standards.
