Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Special Needs Education Facilitator in Benoni, Gauteng to develop and implement individualized education programs and provide targeted support for children with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents and a multidisciplinary team, monitor progress, adapt materials, and help foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

A relevant degree, at least 3 years of experience, and registration with SACE or a professional body are

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Special Needs Education, Educational Psychology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with diverse learning needs (e.g., ADHD, autism).
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with special educational needs.
• Provide direct one-on-one or small group instruction and support.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents and external stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, collect data and report outcomes regularly.
• Adapt teaching materials to meet individual needs.
• Support social skills development and emotional regulation.
• Promote inclusive learning within the centre and with mainstream schools.
