Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the Inbound Departments in Gauteng, ensuring efficiency in Receiving, Returns and Machinery. You will drive productivity, manage budgets, and maintain asset integrity while leading department heads to comply with SOPs and safety standards.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, 5 years in logistics at a middle-management level, and a background in customer service.

Qualifications

• Essential: 5 years experience in logistics at middle management level, managing stakeholders (labour brokers, transporters, vendors, etc)
• 5 years experience in customer service
• Knowledge of supply chain/logistics applications and processes

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound departments (Receiving, returns and machinery) to meet targets
• Ensure budgeted financial targets for inbound departments
• Utilise people resources to drive productivity
• Manage assets and ensure safety procedures
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
• Lead Department Managers to comply with SOPs and reporting
• Monitor SLAs with service providers and cost approvals
• Manage HR components including performance and discipline where needed
