Job summary

Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, seeks an Inbound Division Lead to head the inbound team in Cape Town. You will drive delivery performance, manage merchant SLAs and lead a team to ensure timely orders and efficient stock movements.

You will analyze delays, implement SOPs, and collaborate with merchants to optimise inbound operations while maintaining high service standards and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years process improvement / engineering / logistics experience.
• Proven track record of managing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Competency in MS Office packages and/or Gsuite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure order dates are met through management of merchant delivery times and order fulfilment.
• Update customers on late delivery timeously.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of service failings to drive process improvements.
• Define and manage clear standard operating procedures across the team.
• Manage merchants against delivery SLAs and reduce delays through analysis.
• Collaborate with Merchant teams to ensure delivery performance aligns with SLAs.
• Ensure buying disciplines and effective order management within the category.
• Oversee shipments status to ensure smooth transitions to the correct facilities.
• Reconcile receiving discrepancies with DC, Merchant and Accounts Payable.
• Lead inbound team including performance, deadlines and expectations.
