Job summary

Takealot.com is seeking an International Operations Manager, Cross-Border Selling, to design and run scalable processes for onboarding international sellers and moving goods to Takealot's South African network. You will own performance metrics, compliance, and collaboration with internal teams, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

The role reports to the Head of Cross-Border Commerce in a senior capacity and requires a strong track record in cross-border logistics and marketplace

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cross-border commerce, marketplace operations, international trade, or e-commerce logistics.
• Strong analytical and data skills to build models and translate data into decisions.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable operational processes in a marketplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end process for registering and onboarding international sellers onto the Takealot platform.
• Define SLAs and workflows for the cross-border logistics chain from origin to South Africa.
• Own inventory management across cross-border stock, balancing stock, and reducing stockouts.
• Establish product quality and listing standards for content and compliance.
• Develop a scalable seller communications framework across onboarding, updates, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Cross-Border and internal services (warehousing, fulfilment, finance, legal).
• Monitor seller performance, define health scores, and drive improvement loops.
• Build and maintain reporting infrastructure for real-time operational visibility.
