Job summary

Dis-Chem Life is hiring Sales Consultants to be placed in retail stores nationwide in South Africa. You will engage customers on the floor, identify their needs, and present insurance and financial solutions to protect lives and grow our business.

You will deliver compliant, needs-based financial advice face-to-face, build lasting relationships, and work toward achieving sales targets in a high-traffic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Matric (National Senior Certificate) is required.
• Post-matric Diploma or Degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
• If licensed, hold Fit & Proper status.
• 2–4 years in either insurance/financial services sales or high-traffic retail.
• Proven face-to-face client engagement and sales performance.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills; able to simplify financial concepts for customers.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport to allocated store.

Responsibilities

• Engage with walk-in customers to identify needs and introduce Dis-Chem Life’s insurance and financial products.
• Provide compliant, needs-based financial advice face-to-face.
• Build trust and long-term relationships by showing product value.
• Achieve sales targets in a high-traffic retail setting.
• Keep product knowledge up-to-date and ensure compliance with FSCA requirements.
• Represent Dis-Chem Life with professionalism and approachability.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and complete required documentation.
