Job summary

Placements24 seeks an in-house legal counsel specializing in contracts for a fully remote team. You will draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts, including supply, service, and transportation agreements, and MOUs, ensuring compliance across SA and international jurisdictions from Durban or anywhere in SA.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the SA High Court, holds an LL.B. or equivalent, with at least five years of post-qualification contract experience, strong negotiation

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• LL.B. or equivalent law degree.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience focusing on contract and commercial law.
• Proven drafting, negotiating, and managing a high volume of complex contracts.
• Solid understanding of contract principles, risk management, and legal compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
