Job summary

Staff Solutions Recruitment in South Africa is seeking an experienced logistics professional with a minimum of two years in freight forwarding, customs, or related fields to join our operations team in Gqeberha.

The role requires practical knowledge of import/export procedures, strong coordination skills for container movements and depot activities, and a solid command of MS Excel; Navis/Shipshape exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in freight forwarding, customs, shipping, import/export, or logistics.
• Practical knowledge in import/export procedures, including customs processes and documentation.
• Good understanding of both sea and airfreight operations.
• Experience coordinating container movements, transportation and depot activities.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, agents, shipping lines and service providers.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and general Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Shipshape and Navis preferred.
• Knowledge of customs, international trade and exchange-control regulations would be beneficial.
• Maintain accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong compliance focus aligning with procedures and quality standards.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Shipshape and Navis would be considered a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of applicable customs, international trade, and exchange-control regulations would be beneficial.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working under pressure and consistently meeting operational deadlines.
