Job summary

Röhlig & Co in Durban is seeking an Import Controller - Seafreight to manage imports, coordinate freight, and ensure compliance at our Durban Airfreight Branch.

You will handle forwarding, clearing, transport coordination, invoicing, insurance arrangements, and quality system compliance, leveraging over five years of import controlling experience. This role requires proactive collaboration with the team to achieve accurate, on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years import controlling experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry with proven track record of end to end process execution.
• Sound knowledge of seafreight shipment types, claims/insurance processes

Education

• Matric
• 1-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 3 and 4

Knowledge and experience

• Minimum of 5 years import controlling experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry with proven track record of end to end process execution.
• Sound knowledge of seafreight shipment types & claims/insurance processes
