Job summary

Röhlig & Co. is seeking a Senior Import Controller - Seafreight based at the Durban Seafreight Branch. The role focuses on managing imports, coordinating freight, and ensuring compliance with seafreight processes.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in import controlling within clearing and forwarding, with strong knowledge of seafreight types and claims/insurance procedures. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of guiding junior team members.

• Proven track record of end-to-end process execution in import control.

Education

• Matric
• 1-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 3 and 4

Knowledge and experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years import controlling experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry with proven track record of end to end process execution.
• Sound knowledge of seafreight shipment types & claims/insurance processes
