Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Program Manager to lead a critical social services initiative in Welkom. You will oversee operations, guide a team, manage budgets, and ensure program delivery aligns with our mission to support vulnerable populations in the Free State.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, 5+ years in program management within non-profit sectors, and strong leadership, data reporting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of program management experience in non-profit or social services.
• Proven budget, staff and project management experience.
• Knowledge of social service delivery systems in Welkom area.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in data collection, analysis and reporting on outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of social service programs.
• Develop, implement and monitor program strategies, policies and procedures.
• Manage program budgets, forecasting, expense tracking and resource allocation.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate program staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Monitor outcomes and prepare reports for senior management and funders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
