Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support social services programs in East London, Eastern Cape. You will collaborate with program managers, beneficiaries, and partners to plan, execute, and monitor multiple community projects, ensuring they stay on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate has a BA or similar in social sciences or related field, at least 2 years of coordinating non-profit projects, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in project coordination or admin in non-profit.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with project management tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and development of project proposals and timelines.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring timely execution of tasks and deliverables.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community partners, and internal staff.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or challenges, and implement solutions.
• Maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and financial records.
• Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops.
• Support the procurement of project supplies and resources.
• Contribute to project evaluation and reporting processes.
