You will conduct EIAs, develop EMPs, and monitor environmental performance on-site. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in environmental consulting or management within the energy sector, with strong knowledge of SA environmental legislation and excellent report
Qualifications
- 5+ years in environmental consulting or management in the energy sector.
- Experience conducting EIAs and developing EMPs in South Africa.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting processes in Vereeniging & Gauteng.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EIAs and EMPs for energy projects.
- Monitor air, water, soil, and biodiversity parameters and report findings.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies during construction and operation.
- Ensure compliance with national and local environmental legislation and permits.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and communities on environmental matters.
- Provide environmental training and awareness for project teams and contractors.
