Placements24 seeks an Environmental Scientist to support energy projects in the Stellenbosch region, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices. You will conduct EIAs, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor sites to minimize ecological impact.

You will collect and analyze data on water quality, air quality, and biodiversity, and prepare reports and permit applications for regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or management, preferably in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of South African environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Experience with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
