Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking an experienced Product Manager for the automotive aftermarket in Gauteng. The role focuses on end-to-end ownership of regional portfolio sales and margins and developing strategic product range plans.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of automotive products, specifications, and development processes with experience in portfolio management and go-to-market execution. Regional collaboration and market-driven strategy are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: relevant experience in product management, preferably in automotive aftermarket.
• Strong knowledge of automotive products, specifications and development processes.
• Experience with clutch, suspension and/or wheel-end products advantageous.
• Proven experience in product portfolio and range management.
• Experience in product strategy, development and range extensions.
• Understanding of IAM and OES/OE markets.
• Strong strategic, analytical and commercial skills.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven ability to drive results and execute product strategies.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of regional portfolio sales and margins.
• Develop and implement regional product range strategies.
• Manage portfolio development and range extensions based on market and customer requirements.
• Define and execute the regional portfolio strategy.
• Support regional sales teams with product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Identify market opportunities and ensure products are positioned within the appropriate customer segments.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, purchasing and other regional stakeholders.
• Support both operational and strategic planning for the portfolio.
