Job summary

Outsourced CFO in Cape Town is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant with CA(SA) and 5+ years PQE to join the Finance team. You will oversee IFRS reporting across group entities and private equity funds, collaborating with fund administrators, auditors, and investors.

The role emphasizes governance, robust controls, and accurate financial statements with exposure to multi‑jurisdictional Africa funds. You will work with the Head of Finance and investment colleagues to optimise reporting

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualified and registered to practice in SA.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification (PQE) experience in financial reporting or fund services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS financial reporting standards and related governance.
• Proven experience managing external audits and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and management reports for group and fund entities.
• Support investor reporting, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Maintain robust financial controls and governance across structures.
• Assist with fund accounting activities including capital events and treasury management.
• Contribute to tax, legal, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with investment and operations teams on financial matters.
• Support process improvements and reporting framework enhancements.
