Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Technician for a manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp, North West. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards to safeguard product integrity and regulatory compliance. You will work with a dedicated team to prevent contamination, follow SOPs, and support audits.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in sanitation, knowledge of GMP and HACCP, and comfort handling cleaning chemicals and equipment on shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in sanitation or cleaning, preferably in manufacturing.
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP principles is a plus.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized cleaning of production equipment and facility areas.
• Adhere to sanitation SOPs and GMP requirements.
• Monitor cleaning effectiveness through inspection and testing where applicable.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use approved chemicals safely.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, dates, times, chemicals used, and areas cleaned.
• Report equipment malfunctions or sanitation issues to supervisors.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning supplies.
• Assist in internal hygiene audits and inspections.
• Follow safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist in training new personnel on sanitation procedures.
