Placements24 is seeking a strategic Telecoms Network Planner based in Randburg to design and expand network infrastructure, forecast future needs, and plan deployments of new technologies. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to align network plans with goals and market demands.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in telecom network planning, architecture design, and the use of modeling/simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in telecom network planning and design.
• In-depth knowledge of fiber optics, wireless, IP networking and relevant protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience with network modeling and simulation tools is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term and short-term network plans, including capacity planning and technology roadmaps.
• Design scalable and resilient network architectures for wired and wireless telecommunications services.
• Analyze network performance data and traffic patterns to identify areas for improvement and expansion.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure network deployments adhere to planned timelines and budgets.
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
