Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in civil engineering design, preferably telecoms infrastructure.
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD) and GIS (ArcGIS).
Strong knowledge of SA civil engineering standards and municipal requirements.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and plan civil infrastructure for telecommunications networks (fibre/wireless).
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and BoMs for civil works.
Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for routes and installations.
Liaise with authorities, utilities, and landowners for permits and wayleaves.
Ensure designs comply with standards, codes, and telecom regulations.
Collaborate with GIS and CAD technicians on network maps and plans.
Provide technical support to construction and installation teams.
Manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve contractor designs and proposals.
Contribute to standards and best practices in design.
