Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to support expanding network infrastructure in Rustenburg. The role combines on-site fieldwork with remote support and system monitoring to ensure reliable connectivity for diverse clients.

You will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot complex telecom systems, contributing to network reliability and customer satisfaction while leveraging state-of-the-art technology in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, data transmission, and telecommunications hardware.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment for network analysis.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client sites.
• Comfortable working both independently in the field and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including switches, routers, and fiber optic systems.
• Perform site surveys and diagnose issues related to network connectivity and performance.
• Configure and test network devices and systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for network-related problems.
