Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Telecommunications Systems Analyst in Queenstown, Eastern Cape to evaluate, design, and optimize telecom systems and networks. You will gather requirements, analyze data, and propose solutions to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

The role demands strong knowledge of IP networks, VoIP, wireless tech, and the ability to work with engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver scalable, robust systems for our client’s growing customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications systems analysis, network design, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure, including IP networks, VoIP, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, PMP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing telecommunications systems and networks to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements for new systems or modifications.
• Design and propose telecommunications solutions, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and cost.
• Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
• Perform capacity planning and traffic analysis to ensure network resources meet demand.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to implement system changes.
• Develop and execute test plans for new systems and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on system performance, analysis, and recommendations.
