Placements24 seeks an energetic Assistant Store Manager for a prominent Pretoria retail brand. You will support the Store Manager, lead a team, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service while balancing on-site leadership with remote administrative tasks.

The role is hybrid, offering strategic planning, staff development, and hands-on store floor presence to uphold brand standards and achieve targets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
• Strong understanding of retail sales, customer service, and operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work on-site in Pretoria and remotely for designated tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management.
• Support the achievement of sales targets and KPIs through effective team motivation and operational execution.
• Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
• Manage inventory levels, including stock counts, replenishment, and loss prevention initiatives.
• Assist in training and developing store staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• Contribute to visual merchandising efforts to ensure appealing product presentation.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Manage opening and closing procedures as required.
• Undertake administrative tasks, some of which may be completed remotely.
