Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a skilled Structural Draughtsperson focused on steel structures to translate designs into detailed drawings and 3D models. You will collaborate with structural engineers to ensure clarity and fabrication readiness.

This role requires strong drafting skills, a solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, and the ability to produce accurate BOMs, revision-controlled drawings, and compliant documentation in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant Draughting/Engineering Design certification.
• Minimum 5 years as Structural Draughtsperson with steel structures.
• Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Revit.
• Strong understanding of steel structures, connections and fabrication methods.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural steel fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans using CAD software.
• Create 3D models of steel structures based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and adhere to relevant industry standards and codes.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and project teams to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and other documentation for fabrication and procurement.
