Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and manage robust cloud infrastructure spanning AWS/Azure/GCP. The role emphasizes automation, observability, and proactive reliability in a hybrid on-site/remote setting in Polokwane, Limpopo.

You will drive CI/CD, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and incident response while collaborating with Dev and Ops teams to improve system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or system administration.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes; scripting (Python/Go/Bash) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure across cloud platforms.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response; perform root cause analysis.
