Job summary

Syspro is seeking an SRE Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain a reliable, scalable cloud platform. You will apply SRE practices, automate workflows, and partner with development teams to embed reliability into delivery.

You will manage Kubernetes ecosystems, implement IaC and CI/CD, and leverage AI-assisted monitoring to reduce MTTR. The role requires collaboration with architects and on-call incident response. Hybrid work arrangements in South Africa may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 4–6 years in a platform engineering, DevOps or SRE role.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management.
• CKA or cloud certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable platform infrastructure using SRE principles and SLOs.
• Automate operational workflows via IaC tooling and CI/CD configurations.
• Monitor and respond to incidents with observability tooling and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes environments ensuring availability and security.
• Collaborate with development teams and architects to embed reliability in design.
