Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for a hybrid role in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead electrical projects from conception to completion, coordinating with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

A solid track record in electrical project management, strong leadership and communication skills are essential, with exposure to diverse infrastructure projects in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience managing electrical engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, PM principles.
• Proficiency with MS Project and electrical design tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid model across different work settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of electrical engineering projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress closely.
• Coordinate with design teams, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regs.
• Oversee selection and procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during execution with remote support.
