Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Centurion, Gauteng, in a hybrid role that balances office work with site oversight.

You will manage all costs, advise on contracts and procurement, prepare cost plans, monitor variances, and produce regular cost control reports using quantity surveying software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for construction projects.
• Manage tender processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
• Monitor project expenditure, analyze variances, and provide cost control reports.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable contract terms.
• Assess and manage variations and claims, ensuring compliance with contract conditions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify quantities and quality of work.
