Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and analytical Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Pretoria. The role focuses on cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting across diverse construction projects in Gauteng.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and a minimum of 5 years of experience, with strong knowledge of JBCC/NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Thorough understanding of JBCC, NEC contracts, tendering processes and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Administer construction contracts, including variations, claims, and payments to subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, forecast final costs, and identify potential overruns.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and valuations for payments.
• Negotiate final accounts with clients and contractors on completion.
• Provide cost and risk advice to project teams and stakeholders.
