Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quality Control Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a Cape Town manufacturing environment. You will design QA/QC plans, conduct audits, analyze data, and implement CAPA to ensure top product quality.

The role collaborates with production, engineering, and R&D to embed quality in processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing QA, strong data analysis skills, and experience with ISO 9001 and SPC techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality control/quality assurance within manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC techniques.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement quality assurance and control plans for all manufacturing processes.
• Conduct inspections/audits of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods for spec compliance.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and develop root-cause analyses for non-conformances.
• Lead CAPA programs to address quality deviations.
• Develop and deliver training on quality standards for manufacturing personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering/production to integrate quality into new product development.
