• Relevant qualification in SCM, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in procurement software and standard office applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and spare parts is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the South African supplier market, especially North West.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source suppliers for manufacturing equipment, machinery, spare parts, and consumables.
• Obtain quotes from multiple suppliers and compare prices, lead times, and quality.
• Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with vendors.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Track orders from placement through to delivery, expediting where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, supplier details, and pricing.
• Liaise with engineering and maintenance departments to understand equipment and parts requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts and consumables.
• Research market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.
