Placements24, a renowned pharmaceutical entity in Vereeniging, Gauteng, seeks a meticulous Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst. The role tests raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testing. You will document results, ensure GMP compliance, and partake in method validation and audits.

Hybrid work combines on-site lab duties with remote admin tasks. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years in a pharmaceutical QC lab.
• Proficiency in HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry.
• Strong GMP and pharmacopeial method knowledge (USP/EP).
• Experience with LIMS is advantageous.
• Excellent documentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Hybrid role with on-site lab work and remote admin tasks in Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, physical, and biological tests on materials and products per SOPs.
• Operate and maintain HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testers.
• Document test results accurately in notebooks and systems.
• Ensure GMP and pharmacopeial compliance.
• Assist in method validation and transfer activities.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment with proper records.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and solutions for testing.
• Support investigations of quality complaints and deviations.
• Participate in internal audits and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
