Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Media Relations Coordinator in George. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to support media inquiries, press events, and development of communication materials.

You will work with the senior PR team to ensure timely dissemination of information and cultivate positive media relationships, contributing to strategic messaging and brand reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a media relations or PR support role.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and press release distribution services.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to media inquiries, routing them to appropriate spokespersons.
• Assist in planning and execution of press conferences, media briefings, and PR events.
• Coordinate creation and distribution of media kits, press releases, and other collateral.
• Monitor media coverage and compile clipping reports.
• Support PR team in maintaining media contact databases.
• Arrange interviews and provide logistical support for visiting media.
