Placements24 is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist for East London, Eastern Cape. You will optimize inventory, coordinate warehousing and transportation, and drive cost-saving strategies across the supply chain.

The role requires 4+ years in logistics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in SCM and ERP systems. A hybrid work model is offered with on-site meetings in East London.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in inventory management, warehousing, and transportation coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (SCM) and ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and optimize supply chain processes, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce logistics costs and improve delivery times.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth inbound and outbound flow of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess stock.
• Manage and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
• Coordinate with transportation teams to schedule deliveries and optimize routes.
• Identify and assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Utilize SCM software and analytics tools to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on supply chain metrics, performance, and cost analysis for management.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Liaise with customer service teams to address any logistics-related customer issues.
