Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee the flow of goods through our Centurion hub in Gauteng. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, plan routes, monitor progress, and optimize warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in logistics or supply chain roles, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with logistics software and ERP systems. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in logistics coordination or similar role.
• Understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding and warehousing principles.
• Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
• Plan transportation routes and carriers for timely deliveries.
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays or issues.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers and customers for smooth operations.
• Maintain records of shipments, inventory levels and costs.
• Optimize warehouse operations for space and order fulfilment.
• Reconcile logistics invoices and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Develop relationships with logistics partners and service providers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
