Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Planner for our client in Bloemfontein. You will optimize movement of goods, plan routes, manage carrier relationships and resolve logistical challenges to ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics planning or supply chain management, with proficiency in a TMS and strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. Hybrid work arrangements are available in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics planning or supply chain management.
• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly transportation routes and shipments.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate loading/unloading.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
