Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Planner for their Polokwane operations. The role focuses on planning and optimizing transport routes, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.

You will manage the flow of materials and finished goods, work with various logistics partners, and contribute to cost reduction and service improvements within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in logistics planning or related roles.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, routing and scheduling.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High school diploma; further education in logistics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transportation routes for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with trucking companies and other logistics partners to ensure efficient delivery.
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays or issues.
• Manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Optimize routes and load capacities to minimize transportation costs.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare relevant reports.
